Emergency Fund 2025
In 2025, the Desmos Emergency Fund continued to provide rapid and targeted support to communities affected by natural disasters, responding to urgent needs from the very first days of each emergency.
Following the summer wildfires, we supplied essential equipment to eight volunteer forest firefighting teams on Chios and two teams in Evia, strengthening their operational capacity and supporting their work on the front line.
At the same time, we covered the accommodation costs of 20 volunteers from the Hellenic Federation of Volunteer Forest Fire Protection and Firefighting Organisations, who travelled to Chios to assist in the firefighting efforts.
Our support also extended to families affected by other emergencies. In Kato Achaia, we provided food and infant formula, helping cover the immediate needs of households facing difficult circumstances.
The Emergency Fund was created to ensure that Desmos can respond without delay whenever a crisis occurs. The actions implemented throughout 2025 once again demonstrated the importance of preparedness, enabling us to stand by local communities and those on the front line exactly when they need support the most.
