Hosting a “Magic: The Gathering” board game tournament

Board game drive for charity

A 17-year-old Desmos volunteer took the initiative to organise a special tournament of the popular strategy game “Magic: The Gathering”, combining entertainment with social giving.

The event took place at a board game café, bringing together friends, students and members of the gaming community. Instead of paying an entry fee, participants were invited to donate board games for a good cause.

Thanks to this initiative, 17 board games were collected and donated through Desmos to a non-profit organisation supporting migrant and refugee women and children in Greece.

The games were used to equip the organisation’s newly established recreation centre and library, creating more opportunities for creative activities, social interaction and participation in group activities.
