Sotiris Papantonopoulos-Mantopoulos

Sotiris Papantonopoulos-Mantopoulos is a General Partner at Uni.Fund, a Greek venture capital fund that invests in deep-tech startups and university spinoffs. He leads investment evaluations, serves on the boards of over 10 portfolio companies and works closely with founders coming out of Greek universities, research centres and Technology Transfer Offices, helping them turn research into scalable, internationally competitive companies.

He brings a founder’s perspective to investing. He founded insurancemarket.gr, Greece’s largest online insurance broker, and was selected as an Endeavor Entrepreneur. Earlier, he was General Manager of DTZ Greece S.A. and Hellenic Land LLC, a real estate consulting and investment firm. Before that, he worked in Boston and New York as Senior Vice President at the investment bank Gruntal & Co.

He holds an MSc from the London School of Economics and a BSc from Boston University. He has also completed executive programmes at Harvard Business School and the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
