Completing the redevelopment projects in East Attica

With donations from EIB, 23 companies and 328 individuals, we offered support from the very first moment to Ann. Attica and we are completing the redevelopment projects

All of us at Desmos want to express our gratitude to all of you, who with your undivided support and support helped to offer support and relief to the residents of eastern Attica from the very first moment.

Companies and individuals, with their selfless offer helped raise a sum of €527,484.

Part of the donations covered urgent needs of the first days and was offered for the purchase of necessary equipment, which was provided to local residents and volunteers, as well as to structures and organizations that offered support to the affected (social grocery, pharmacy etc.).

Subsequently, the study, planning and implementation of important projects for the regeneration and modernization of parts of the area began, aiming to restore spaces and again constitute a suitable and pleasant environment for meeting residents, socialization and strengthening ties.

The major donor of the redevelopment projects is the European Investment Bank (EIB), which through its Institute (EIB Institute) provided an amount of €271,260.

To date, the redevelopment of 2 Playgrounds has been completed:

1. In the region of N. Voutza, at Chrysostomou Smyrna and Nymphon streets

2. Within the urban area, at 35 Perikleous Street in Mati

Projects completed in the coming days:

1. Redevelopment in the Mati Attica nautical Sports Club (Naoma), with renovation of the Basketball & Beach Volleyball sports fields, the playground, the lighting network and other urban equipment

2. Installation of lighting, configuration of the entrances, the stands and the surrounding area adjacent to the playground of N. Voutza basketball court

When the works are completed, we will proceed to tree planting points in the area.

The projects were carried out in close cooperation with local authorities, from the initial selection of sites to their completion.

Top companies from Greece and abroad have been selected for the implementation and the projects meet the latest European directives and safety regulations. They are modern, fully functional and environmentally friendly (with solar lamps, use of environmentally friendly materials, etc.) and the playgrounds are accessible to children of all ages, as well as children with special needs.

The usefulness of the project and the reliability of the link in the implementation of large projects with transparency and modern procedures, we believe is confirmed by the donation of the European Investment Bank (EIB), companies and individuals.

We would like to thank the 328 individuals who, with their interest, love for their fellow man and selfless offer, collected an amount of 45,000€ and were present from the 1st moment.

The overall offer and the projects implemented bear the “stamp” of contribution of each of you.
