Desmos Due Diligence Process
Desmos applies a rigorous and transparent due diligence process to assess the organizations it partners with, evaluating both their activities and internal procedures, as well as the social impact of their work.
This evaluation is based on specific qualitative criteria, with the aim of ensuring the effectiveness, credibility, and transparency of every collaboration. Indicatively, the following aspects are taken into consideration:
The alignment of the organization’s work with Desmos’ four core pillars of action.
A clear and well-documented description of the organization’s activities, with a defined purpose and focus.
Geographic coverage, with priority given to remote or underserved areas.
The relevance and justification of the requested needs in relation to the organization’s work.
The complete and accurate completion of the required questionnaire, supported by clear and verifiable information.
The organization’s level of cooperation and consistency throughout the implementation of the project.
The organization’s operational model and internal procedures, which must ensure transparency.
The evaluation of the social impact generated by the organization’s work. A fundamental formal requirement for Desmos’ collaboration with Civil Society Organizations is their non-profit and public-benefit character. Specifically, partner organizations must fall under one of the following categories: Non-Profit Organizations, Non-Profit Civil Companies, Associations, Cooperatives, Clubs, Social Cooperative Enterprises (Koin.S.Ep.), Foundations, or Public Sector Bodies.
