Palamas Health Centre

Palamas Health Centre is an essential primary healthcare facility serving residents of the Municipality of Palamas and the wider Karditsa region. In September 2023, the Centre suffered extensive damage during the devastating floods caused by Storm Daniel, disrupting its operations and the provision of healthcare services to the local community.

Following repairs to the building, Desmos supported the restoration and improvement of the facilities through the donation of hospital furnishings for examination rooms, on-call accommodation and rest areas for medical and nursing staff.

The donation included, among other items, electric examination couches, beds, bedside tables, wardrobes and dining furniture, addressing essential needs for the Centre’s daily operations.

In addition, Desmos provided and installed window shading systems in examination rooms, administrative and auxiliary areas, as well as staff rest areas. These improvements helped regulate natural light and enhance privacy, creating a more functional and comfortable environment for patients and healthcare professionals.
