Leros State Hospital – 2024
The Leros State Therapeutic Center (KTHL) is a key pillar of healthcare on the island of Leros. Its facilities operate across three locations: The General Hospital in Lakki with 80 beds (10 in the Dialysis Unit),
The Department for People with Special Needs (TAMEA) housing 54 patients, Psychosocial Rehabilitation Structures in Lakki, accommodating 34 long-term patients. KTHL includes Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics-Gynecology, Cardiology, Surgery, and Psychiatry Departments, as well as a Dialysis Unit.
The donation of a portable color Doppler ultrasound system, suitable for use across multiple medical specialties, significantly upgraded the Center’s diagnostic capacity and surgical support, ensuring more comprehensive healthcare for residents and visitors of the island.
