Antiparos Regional Medical Centre
The Antiparos Regional Medical Centre provides essential primary healthcare services to the island’s residents and visitors. In April 2026, the Centre relocated from its limited space within the Town Hall to newly renovated premises, providing a more modern and functional environment for healthcare services.
Desmos undertook the provision of essential medical and other equipment to support the operation of the new facility. The donation included, among other items, an intensive care ventilator, an automated chest compression device, a defibrillator, an ultrasound scanner, an electrocardiograph and patient monitors, strengthening the Centre’s diagnostic capabilities and its capacity to respond to medical emergencies.
In addition, an electric Citroën Ami One vehicle was donated to facilitate the movement of medical and emergency response personnel around the island, while part of the customs clearance costs for an ambulance was also covered. Further support included IT equipment, a telephone system and improvements to the premises, such as a shade structure for the ambulance and reed screening for the perimeter fence.
Through this donation, Desmos helped strengthen primary healthcare services on Antiparos, supporting healthcare professionals in their daily work and contributing to better healthcare provision for the island’s residents and visitors.
