Special Elementary School for Children with Cerebral Palsy, Argyroupoli

Donation of a specialised tricycle to support independence and participation

The Special Elementary School for Children with Cerebral Palsy is located within the facilities of “Open Dorr” in Argyroupoli and supports children with cerebral palsy, providing an educational environment adapted to their needs.

As part of efforts to strengthen the school’s equipment, Desmos provided a specially designed tricycle, which is used by students as part of their daily activities.

“The donation is particularly valuable to us, as it is expected to contribute both to the physical exercise and muscle strengthening of a large number of our students, as well as to their psychological well-being, as it gives them a sense of independence and equal participation in such activities. At the same time, it contributes more broadly to promoting the acceptance of disability, both among their families and within society as a whole.”

Georgios Bourchas (Head of the Special Elementary School for Children with Cerebral Palsy)

In the video below (from 03:07 onwards) members of the school team talk about the use of the specialised tricycle and the benefits it offers.
