Vaso Panagopoulou

Program Development Manager

Vaso Panagopoulou studied at the Department of Theatre Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, but her professional interests turned early on toward the field of Civil Society. From 2016 to 2022, she worked with the NGO Danish Refugee Council, participating in humanitarian aid and refugee crisis response initiatives.

She joined the Desmos team in March 2022 as a Project Manager for the “Desmos for Schools” program. Since then, she has overseen the implementation of initiatives such as the “Volunteer Firefighting Program” and targeted projects within Desmos’ Emergency Response & Recovery Pillar.

Currently, as Program Development Lead, she plays an active role in shaping and expanding Desmos’ impact, coordinating the development and writing of funded proposals that strengthen and grow the organization’s work.
