EKALI 2000 decided to donate its previous fire engine to another volunteer Civil Protection organisation through an <strong>open call<\/strong> for expressions of interest addressed to volunteer groups across Greece. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text gb-text-5aa20883\">Following the evaluation of the applications, the vehicle was awarded to the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/EOPP1Rethimnou\/\">\u201cENA\u201d Volunteer Civil Protection Organisation of Rethymno<\/a><\/strong>, where it will continue serving on the front line, helping protect people, local communities and the natural environment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text gb-text-b017a11c\">In May 2026, representatives of EKALI 2000 and Desmos travelled to Rethymno for the official handover of the vehicle to the ENA team. It was a meaningful moment that marked not only the completion of one donation, but also the beginning of a new journey of giving. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text gb-text-e4ebcddd\">For many years, this vehicle stood alongside the volunteers of EKALI 2000 through countless emergency responses. Today, it continues its mission in a new region, demonstrating that the true value of a donation does not end when it is delivered\u2014it grows every time it creates the opportunity to give again. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text gb-text-c262a25f\">This initiative is a powerful example of collaboration and solidarity between volunteer organisations. One donation made another possible, maximising its social impact and extending the operational life of a vehicle that continues to serve wherever it is needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div
