In island communities, strengthening pre-hospital emergency care plays a vital role in protecting lives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text gb-text-b9f61df0\">Responding to a verified local need, <strong>Desmos<\/strong>, in partnership with <strong>The Kionas Foundation<\/strong>, donated a new, fully equipped ambulance to the <strong>Andros Hellenic National Center of Emergency Care (EKAB)<\/strong>, significantly enhancing its operational readiness and its ability to respond promptly to emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text gb-text-d11e576f\">Before this donation, the Andros EKAB operated with only one <strong>ambulance <\/strong>available to serve the entire island, particularly during the busy summer season. The addition of the new vehicle substantially strengthens the unit&#8217;s capacity and improves its response to emergency incidents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text gb-text-479bd38d\">The official handover ceremony took place on 20 June 2025 at Geriokomeio Square in Chora, Andros, in the presence of representatives from the EKAB, local authorities, and members of the local community.
