The study highlighted the programme\u2019s significant contribution to youth employment (for young people up to the age of 30) and to strengthening the operational capacity of civil society organisations across Greece, capturing both its direct and indirect social and economic impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text gb-text-0672916d\">The \u201cDesmos for Youth\u201d programme funds 12-month paid positions within civil society organisations, offering young people meaningful professional experience\u2014often their first\u2014while at the same time enhancing the sustainability and effectiveness of organisations that support vulnerable groups on a daily basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text gb-text-078fab8e\">The study also demonstrated the initiative\u2019s strong economic multiplier effect: for every <strong>\u20ac1 spent on the programme\u2019s operations, \u20ac11.7 was reinvested back into the Greek economy<\/strong>, generating a total of \u20ac1.4 million in economic activity for the period 2016\u20132024.
