Published on her YouTube channel, the video surpassed <strong>2.6 million views<\/strong>, inspiring young people from all over the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Stop Overcomplicating Studying\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/uR6_F_VbQRo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:21px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text gb-text-e2c73ad9\">As the video&#8217;s audience grew, it also began <strong>generating revenue through YouTube<\/strong>, eventually earning <strong>\u20ac2,000<\/strong>. Sophia decided to donate the<strong> entire amount <\/strong>to support<strong> children&#8217;s education<\/strong>, building on the purpose of her original volunteering project, via the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/desmos.digitalnest.gr\/en\/building-a-better-future\/desmos-for-schools\/\">Desmos for Schools<\/a>&#8221; programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text gb-text-cd8a7158\">Furthermore, she invited family, friends and members of her wider community to contribute to a fundraising campaign, <strong>matching the initial amount<\/strong>. Together with the video&#8217;s earnings, this brought the total to <strong>\u20ac4,000<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text gb-text-5ef6753d\">Sophia\u2019s contribution enabled Desmos to meet needs previously identified by two public schools in Attica: the <strong>39th Kindergarten of Athens<\/strong>, in Kolonos, and the <strong>Special Primary School of Piraeus for Children with Autism<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text gb-text-a91ea928\">Sophia\u2019s donation provided the kindergarten with<strong> two computers, two Bee-Bots and a children\u2019s bookshelf<\/strong>. Bee-Bots are small programmable robots that introduce young children to basic coding, sequencing and problem-solving through play. Sophia\u2019s story was picked up by<strong> dozens of news outlets and received an outpouring of positive comments on social media<\/strong>. The public response was heartwarming, with many people expressing their admiration for her initiative. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text gb-text-2b5b1533\">For Sophia, however, the most important part was not the publicity, but the fact that she had been able to help other children. As she put it: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text gb-text-15eafe3a\"><em>\u201cI never expected a video about studying to reach so many people. The messages and the response I received were really touching. But what makes me happiest is knowing that, in the end, all of this helped other children.
