The program was implemented with an exclusive grant from the <strong>Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF)<\/strong> as part of the SNF\u2019s Northern Evia Support Initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text gb-text-f3979623\">The program pursued two main objectives: creating new employment opportunities for young people up to the age of 40 who either live in or wish to remain in the region, and strengthening local civil society organisations by helping them expand their activities, develop new partnerships and contribute actively to the social and economic development of Northern Evia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text gb-text-11eb330e\">As part of the program, <strong>eight new<\/strong> <strong>16-month positions<\/strong> were funded across eight local non-profit organisations: <strong>Rancheros<\/strong>, <strong>Papades Cultural Association<\/strong>, <strong>\u201cIppeas\u201d Commercial &#038; Professional Association of Pefki &#8211; Artemisio<\/strong>, <strong>D. Ch. In total, <strong>124 events and activities were organised<\/strong>, <strong>eight training seminars and educational sessions<\/strong> were delivered to program participants\u2014including three tailored one-to-one sessions\u2014and <strong>29 joint initiatives<\/strong> were designed and implemented collaboratively by the participating organisations.
