One of the most touching stories she shared is that of one of the center&#8217;s beneficiaries: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text gb-text-75af84f6\"><em><em>&#8220;With the empowerment and psychological support of her colleagues, she managed to make a difficult but life-changing decision that helped her grow and encouraged her to take control of her life, proving what a person can achieve when they truly want and strive for the best, especially when supported by a strong team.&#8221;<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text gb-text-b49b813d\">Eirini continued her work at the Iris Center even after the completion of the program\u2019s fifth cycle, as the organisation secured the funding for the continuation of her position, thereby confirming the value and success of the \u201cDesmos for Youth\u201d program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"gb-element-e9c37db1\">\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1000\" class=\"gb-media-aabcbcf3\" alt=\"\" title=\"IRIDA\" src=\"https:\/\/desmos.digitalnest.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IRIDA.jpg\" srcset=\"https:\/\/desmos.digitalnest.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IRIDA.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/desmos.digitalnest.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IRIDA-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/desmos.digitalnest.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IRIDA-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/desmos.digitalnest.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IRIDA-768x768.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text gb-text-adcf64ac\">Irida is a non-profit organisation founded in 2016 in Thessaloniki. Its activities focus on the protection, empowerment, and support of the most socially and economically vulnerable women, with a focus on survivors or potential victims of gender-based violence, with the goal of helping them become active members of society and fulfill their goals and aspirations. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gb-text gb-text-e3e680a7\">At the first and only safe community center for women in Northern Greece, women receive the support they need to face their challenges, find solutions, and achieve lasting positive change.
