Yiannis Palaiologos<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Yannis Palaiologos is a reporter and op-ed editor at \u201cKathimerini\u201d. He was born in 1979 in Athens, Greece. After completing his high-school education in Athens, he attended Oxford University, where he received a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and a B.Phil. in Philosophy. He was the editor of Free Sunday, a free press newspaper with a serious twist, between 2009-2012, and won the Greek edition of the Citi financial journalism competition for his work there in 2012. He was also a Marshall Memorial Fellow for Greece between 2015-6. In 2014, he published his first book, \u201cThe Thirteenth Labour of Hercules\u201d, on the Greek crisis (Portobello Books, London). He added a second edition in 2016 to cover the developments of the first half of 2015. In 2008-9, he co-wrote a series of satirical sketches and a comic play about corruption in Greece, which won praise in the Greek and international press. He is a regular contributor to the op-ed page of the Wall Street Journal.
