Desmos for Schools

We support learning. We strengthen public education.

The Desmos for Schools program was launched in 2014 to support public schools across Greece — particularly those in remote and underprivileged areas — that struggle to meet their basic needs due to limited resources.

Since then, we have connected with schools from major urban centers to the most isolated island and mountain communities. We record their needs, speak directly with teachers, and witness firsthand the impact that our support has on local communities. As with all Desmos programs, we oversee every stage of the process — from market research and budgeting to purchasing, delivery, and detailed reporting to our donors.

Our support covers a wide range of needs — from essentials such as stationery and craft materials to technological and laboratory equipment, sports gear, and modern learning tools like robotics systems, interactive boards, and 3D printers. We also respond to more structural needs, including the creation of school gardens, installation of fences, and renovation or construction of playgrounds and sports fields.

Every action is based on documented needs identified through close collaboration with the schools themselves. Our goal is to create learning environments that empower and inspire students every day.

To date, the programme has supported 650 schools across all 13 regions of Greece, benefiting tens of thousands of students.

Beyond the numbers, Desmos for Schools provides essential relief to teachers who strive to educate under challenging conditions, while offering children a safer, more functional, and more inspiring environment to learn and grow. It is an investment in knowledge, equality, dignity, and the future.
